Cool pumping up for the stage

Hi guys, I would like to know how everyone pumps up backstage. I have seen that dream tan do a heat cream that heats the muscle groups up to give a stimulated pump. Are there any good supplements to take which won't effect the overall condition I know there's pump tech by muscletech but is there anything else worth recommending. I have small 10kg dumbells to take in my bag with me but I want that pump to last as long as possible, when I'm in the gym I find I pump up fast but also loose that pump in say 5 mins if I stop training. So any help here would be great thanks guys. J-man

this in my opinion is partly down to how you structure your last few days of prep and how dry you are. backstage, some people have some crisps for the salt, some people have chocolate for the sugar, some people have white wine, some have red wine, ive even heard of brandy to bring the veins out.

if you are in proper condition there is no real need to pump up as such. just practice your posing backstage. this should provide enoughpump and fullness for you.

saying that there are certain muscle gruops i like to pump up before going on stage as i feel better for it.

ill use some light dumbells and one of them stretchy band things.

just remember though.. its damn hot and damn hard up on stage (if youve not competed before you could be in for a shock!!) so you need lots of energy saved up.

I dont use any last minute stuff like wine etc.

I just use some dyma bands to pump up then some hard posing to bring out the fullness.

If you have enough carbs in you then you'll pump up fine.

i use bands as well, and dont use anything before stepping up other than a little niacin. i dont pump all muscles because in some cases they smooth out with a pump

Thanks guys. Lee would you recommend that heat cream by dream tan, with you mentioning the heat on stage do you think it might be a bit much. Someone told me that if you heat your muscles up then go to a cool area or spray yourself down with cool water the skin goes even tighter over the muscles is this true or is it just more crappy gym talk. I have screw together dumbells so I'll just keep it simple on the day get a nice pump to the triceps, back, quads and a bit of chest, I find like steve said if I pump up certain muscle groups like my biceps all the definition disappears. I'll practice before hand pumping and stretching with my tools up so I can get it perfect on the day. Thanks J-man

i wouldnt use the cream personally... it MAY increase vascularity... but the judges wont be marking you on your vascularity.

when your backstage.. you should try and keep warm at all times.. if you go somewhere cold.. you will flatten out.
