Smile Strength while dieting for a show

Hi guys, this may be a strange subject to bring up but before I started my contest diet everybody told me that you will always loose muscle when dieting. At this stage in my diet I feel great and have had some of the best lifts ever in the past few weeks. I have stuck to the basics in my diet I doubled my protein intake from around 300 to 400 grams a day to 500 to 600 grams and decreased my carbs to around 70g on non training days and 120 on training days. So really I should be very weak as I normally take in around 500 g of carbs when bulking, I have had some great results with the diet too I have lost 6% bodyfat in 4 weeks. Do you guys think its the increased protein which is doing this or simply my body is adapting to the gear well at the moment I'm on 1 50mg winstrol tab a day and a ml of test propinate every 3 days. Any info would be great thanks guys J-man
