Night of Champions

October 21st will see the first ever Night of Champions contest in Britain organised by Pro Division International (PDI).

I think there is an amateur and pro class which is invitation only for competitors so the level/quality of competitors should be very high.

There has never been a Night of Champions before in the UK, PDI chairman Wayne Demilia used to be the main man with the IFBB before parting from them and starting his own federation which appears to offer much more to the athletes and want to move back to the more classic physique which also means the athletes using less drugs and staying healthier.

I'll be at this one and think it could be THE show to go to this year.

this show could throw up alot of surprises in my opinion... i havent heard too much about who is competing in it.... but with wayne demilla at the helm it could be one of the best shows this country has seen... both in terms of presentation/organisation and in terms of athletes competing!

onthe flipside i have to say i also think theres like a 5% chance it may end up a damp squid!... BUT wayne is trying to do something new with bodybuilding and challenge soem of the restraints which have been put on teh sport in the past... so hopefully itll all go well and be as good as the potential it has!!

for me it all depends on the media coverage his PDI organisation gets! - maybe someone should suggest to him he invites channell 5 along?????? kill two birds with one stone!

Its being held in the Hackney Empire, tickets available on the door.

I'm not going now, I'm going to a halloween party instead. I've got a cool outfit to wear incorporating an ice hockey goalies mask and a huge knife.

i considered going to this.. (not the halloween party... some of us dont get invites extreme!! lol)...

but a mate has decided to extend his diet a few weeks and do the nabba uk show in leeds on the same night!... so its a good reason for me to find an excuse not to see lee priest beat a bunch of people when hes only at about 85%!... apologies for the cynicism... but from reading between the lines i dont think lee will be at his best... but i have a feeling he will win!

also think this may be lees last bodybuilding show as he may take up his drag racing more as apparantly he has won the championship he competes in (he was a rookie just last year)! well done to him for this!

he is doing a UK seminar tour tho after the show apparantly... if he sticks around long enough to do this it should be worth going along to!
