Default Competitions - Why So Few?

Met with my trainer this morning and we looked at possible dates for my first show next year. Following his experience,my instinct and the advice on here after my first thread, we're going to aim for the Gravesend 07 show. Then, if I don't nail the cut, there are a few more shows over the next few weeks.

Anyway, that got me thinking. Is there a whole tier of competition that has passed me by? All the shows that get reported in the bodybuilding press are like the Premiership of UK amateur bodybuilding. Is there a Championship equivalent, or even a GM Vauxhall Conference level, that doesn't make the press? If there is, how do you find out about them?

You need to look at the other federations, NABBA, WABBA, WPF, IPF, WFF, NABBA International and then there is the independant contests not tied to a federation.

I would think there is around 40 events you could enter each year.

Thanks mate. I'll check out their websites. How do you find out about the independent ones?
