Default Combined weight trg with cv??

I know it is best to do weight training and CV separately but if training time is restricted and I would have to combine the two what is the best way? At the moment I am doing around 45 mins of weight training followed by 30 mins CV immediately afterwards. Does anyone have any advice on this?

Cheers

Thats the way i do it.I have'nt got the time lately to do them on separate days.At the moment ive been doing 30 mins of X trainer first, then 45mins of weights, gets me nice and warmed up.Removes all the first set stiffness and lets me go straight into it hammer and tong.If i had any sort of concern with doing things this way it would be the 75mins of total training time which is 15mins more than the politicaly correct 'no more than 60mins' total. What your doing is perfectly fine.

Read this thread and thought i would give the 'weights first' idea a try. I found that i could lift more weight by doing the weight first. If i am honest my cardio suffered a bit though because i was knackered...

So i am gonna alternate it... one day i do weights before.. one day i do weights after.. will see how it goes..

Ok... So...

1 hour intense weight lifting = 600kcals
30mins cardio = 300kcals

1 hour cardio = 450kcals (most people don't keep the intensity up)
30mins weights = 300kcals (you are now tired from an hours cardio)

You are burning kcals by doing weights first. Weight training is anabolic.
Doing cardio first is just setting yourself up for a fall.

IMHO

This will be totally down to the individual. And trial and error will tell. Those with less of an aggressive tendancy in there training will find anything pre-weights a hinderance to their routine. While the more up for it individuals will thrive which ever way things are thrown at them.
