Default Target heart rate calculator.

This is great simple calculator for anyone trying to figure out there ideal heart rate for fat burning.

There is also a calories burned calculator and a body mass index calculator.

I was of the impression the 'fat burning zone' was based on Vo2 Max?

Also I thought the fat burning zone idea had now been surpassed by H.I.I.T. as it will continue to burn fat even after exercise had finished?

220-your age is your maximum heart rate(MRH)
60% of that is the heart rate for fat burning zone.

tbh the figures it gave for me were 108 - 153 which is a hell of a wide margin.

75% would give youre cardio fitness and 85% for sub maximal training.
now learning this sh1te for my wabba exam

Yes it is a very wide margin and a very rough guide but with such a large spectrum of human body types out there i guess the site is just covering the whole range, and its a**!
