Default Sports

What sports do people play? I play squash about 3 - 4 times a week now, I used to play a hell of a lot in the past and recently have got my game up to scratch again.

I'm starting cycling again this weekend, I had both my hands operated on for carpal tunnell syndrome and now the second hand has recovered enough to allow me to grip the bars and not be uncomfortable.

I've not trained for 6 months now and am a bit of a fatty again, bcos i'm not training my diet has not been as it should be either and so the fat accumulation has been quite bad in my opinion so my plans are to get in half an hour to an hour on the roads 4 nights a week initially to start getting my fat levels down before I can train with weights again.

I've also bought a car that will allow me to race at Knockhill track, since my competitive bodybuilding career was stopped for me I wanted to take up shooting and motorsport and now I'm going to be able to do one of them, I can't wait.

I play a lot of rugby, twice a week in the off season and six times a week during season (September to April). Only problem with playing that much sport means its quite a challenge to get to the gym, but as the saying goes where theres a will theres a way.

It is a lot of rugby and i find if i get the right amount and type of calories, such as quite high levels of carbs in at the right times then i usually reover fine and my gym sessions arent usually affected. Also as i play quite a high level of rugby i have a nutritionist who usually helps me with what i need to eat and when to enable maximum recovery. Although occasionally i do find myself just needing to take a week off to fully recover and rest.

I guess at the moment one of the biggest factors that enables me to train so much is my age as im only 17. I doubt ill be able to do all this when im in my 30's.

I used to play 5 a side every Monday night, the lads who used to play all fell by the wayside. I do miss playing though.
