Question Decline Pushups

What's everyone's thoughts on decline pushups? Elevating the feet 12-18 inches and doing pushups to failure?

I kinda like to do a many variations on the push up as I can and often elevate my feet. If I am away from home with no access to a gym, chin ups and push ups will form the bulk of my workout.

Well, my 10 year old grandson (75 pounds) is a little too large to be playing "horsey" with...but it's a good idea. Besides, at 58 I kind of have to watch the old shoulders. There are rotator cuff issues from an injury over twenty years ago that flare up from time to time. But, in all honesty, exercise does help those issues, and many others that age have placed on me. Thanks.

At last count, 10 grandkids, one on the way, four step grand daughters, one great-grandson, one step-great granddaughter...ranging in age from one to nineteen. So...
I guess there are all sorts of combinations possible with a crew like that!!
