Default calf doms

just started training again.
first workout just did some bodyweight calf stuff cos i know i can get bad doms in them.
next day nothing too major.
hit calves properly 2 days ago.
yesterday calves werent too bad altho i didnt go for any major walks.
today jesus h christ they hurt!

any idea why theyve got worse?

i dont know what the reason is but this always happens to me with all bodyparts not to bad the day after but the next day i ache like a bastard i quite like it though.

Maybe thats why is called DELAYED onset muscle soreness!! LOL

TBH, I very rarely get DOMS in my calves, the only time I really do is when I superset, Leg Presses with Toe Presses on the leg press, and then its just insane!!

could it be worse as you have just started training again? bit like when you first start lifting people tend to ache more etc?

i only suffer from full on DOMS on a few muscle groups but on the groups i do, the day after is abit sore but 2nd day is when i really hits, but i agree with fat boy i quite like it, spesh when i stretch the muscle

I get that after a few weeks break from training. I have genetically quite thick and high calfs so every session is a cramping and pain affair. Followed by a few days fo Ministry of Funny Walks.
