Default Normal Pains or more?

Hey all, been getting into training and after doing some exercising I found that my lower stomach (under my 6-pack muscles) was quite tender and if I stretched then it was like stretching a muscle you shouldn't. It took a bit to settle down but I can still feel the stretch when I lean far back. Any ideas? I thought maybe cos I was just getting back into training and those muscles had never been used at all almost. I was doing some squats but on a smiths with no weight and then only 5kg on each side so I could work on form.
