Default training around injury

if you had just broken a bone in your hand and therefore had no grip for the next month....meaning any pressing or curling movement is out...would you simply train with the good hand ( one side of the body )....or have a break for the month ?

training only one side is definatly not an option IMO, as said work on your other areas but keep on training. Work around it mate, dunno about you but id being kicking my self if i had to take a month off.

gotta agree with ya mate missing works easy but training aint. Not a good idea only training one side for a month though cos when you come back to both sides you would have a laggin side, which aint good.

I would leave upper body alone for that month. You can't grip anything so don't pull your hair out trying to work around it.I tried that with my shoulder and just prolonged the agony and the healing process.A month is nothing, don't stress. You can still jog on the treadmill or outside.Do some ab work and leg presses, calf raises.Take the oportunity to recouperate and while you've got some time on your hands draw up a plan of action for when you're fit again.Restructure your training and diet.Set yourself up so when you do go back the month has been a benefit and not a hinderance.
