Have to agree with above responses do not train just one side IMO.. approach it from a slightly different angle and work through the down time with a really positve attitude useing it as a golden oppertunity to train legs abbs and an increase in cardio.

Everything happens for a reason its sometimes not very clear what those reasons are but i always try and put positve spin on whatever happens

thanks for the advice lads...this couldnt have come at a worse time as id been real happy with my training lately and been eating and training with real enthusiasm....just started a newish routine and for the first time in a whilebeen able to look in the mirror and be quite happy with what looked back !...suppose im going into a bit of a panic that weight and condition is going to fall off,so clutching at straws about training one side !....still,these things are sent to test us and i guess we have to show a little character in how we respond...all the best....LL

Well I think you already got your answer, but I to agree with all of the above. It's gonna suck at first but instead of dwelling on the negative of not being able to workout, get in the mindset that it's a mini vacation, do things you don't normally have time to do like go to the tanning salon , while your there close your eyes and pretend your at the beach, basically just relax, you need it and you deserve it...P.S. Training one side is a big no, no...

I would agree with the above posts and do abs, LE focus for 4 week. You could do isometrics on the effected side of all the non-effected joints and this would help you keep from losing mass but in 1 month this probably wont be the case. Be careful with hand injuries because if things get messed up it can be really bad. So jus tough it out
