Default whats best

looking for whats best to do as im now looking to trim off abit off fat after bulking for the last 7 months or so.

I was doing a 3 day split with no cardio as such, although i do play roller hockey once a week.

Question is should i continue on a 3 day split and add in 2 cardio days per week or would i be better off training 1 bodypart then 30 mins cardio, 4 days a week - chest, back, bi's, tri's and on the 5th day train shoulders and legs. Hope that makes sense.

Whats people opinons on how much cardio i need to be doing?

Im 5'7 and currently weigh 13 stone and can just see my top 2 abs when tensed, hopefully will give you an idea of current body fat.

You could add in cardio after your weights (make sure your protein consumption is very high though).

Why not add in 4 running sessions bright and early in the morning?

Im planning to add 4-6 morning cardio sessions once I start my cut in a month with 20-30 mins post cardio after weights (yes I really want to shred)

Mate, I would say your diet is more important than exactly how much cardio you should be doing.

I would recommend doing your cardio on separate days - doesn't have to be anything too strenuous or long - 15 mins HIIT or 20 minute walk, for example.

Totally agree, diet is the key to loosing weight, then if you can add some cardio in then this will just help you reach your goal even quicker.

Buy a stationary bike and do it for ya go to bed.
Although diet is vitaly important doing cardio will speed up the fat loss process and alow you to eat more food so you should maintain more muscle tissue,

forgot to say diets changed from what i was doing when bulking.

So seperate days is best? 2 days of 20 mins walking for example

BUT ( and im asking as im out of my depth) surely if i control diet and do more cardio, i.e 4 days a week would i burn more fat than the 2 days? Still training each body part once a week so hoping not to lose much muscle mass but doubling cardio amount thus burn more fat?

Also as fat boy said, if the 4 days way allows me to eat more and hopefully help keep more muscle mass.

i completely understand diet is the main factor, but wanna help it where i can.

Thanks for the replys
