High-intensity interval training, suppose be good for burning fat and building muscle, however most comonly known as HIT high Intensity Training. Mike Menzer was a beleiver in this.

High Intensity Interval Training

Periods of high intensity work, following by periods of low intensity/rest

Once example is Tabatas on the Concept Rower - 20secs fast paced rowing, 1 secs rest, repeat another 7 times (so 8 times in total).

Two separate things Ali - but the names are very confusing.

HIT is your weight training - as Ali said, the whole Mike Menzer thing.

HIIT is your post workout cardio.

My personal favourite are Tabatas Thrusters

TESTOSTERONE NATION - The Tabata Method

lol.

Okay here are some HIIT examples:

Sprint 2 mins, walk 1 min, repeat 7 more times.

Tabatas (20sec work/10secs rest) on either the concept rower or thrusters.

Pick which one fits your workout.

Hint: Don't do thrusters on the day you do shoulder shoulders, don't do concept rower on back day, don't do the sprints on legs day...

Has that helped? Or am I just confusing things...?
