Default What are your top 5 compound exercises?

Was just wondering what compound exercises members rate as their top 5, and why you rate them as such?

Deadlifts

Squats

Bench press

Standing overhead press

Bent over rows.

No particular order.

Why?? Cos they build mass and strength like no other

Having given this a little thought mine would have to be
1. Power Clean and press - not really for bodybuilding but excellent for strength and conditioning as involves all major muscle groups.
2. Squat – great mass builder for legs and good overall core strength exercise
3. Narrow grip pulls – all the benefits of dead lift but more dynamic and involves legs and traps more
4. Incline bench press to neck – more stretch than traditional bench and targets upper chest
5. Bent over rows – good overall back exercise.

Bench Press - Because i can do it
Dips - Because i can do them
Squats - Because i can do them
Chins - Because i can do them

Have tried the other like deadlift and bent over row but even with a low weight they feel wrong, must be bad form.

I know for me, if I'm doing bent over rows with my head down it feels awkward but when I lift my head up and look straight ahead at the wall it helps level my back making it much more natural feeling. Head placement can make a big differance in alot of exercise IMO.
