The US military is very accomodating to powerlifters and bodybuilders. Every base i've ever been on has had state of the art training facilities. Nobody could ever go without a spotter or training partner, just look around and grab the first guy in green. As far as diet goes, in Basic Training your meals are specifically designed to be high in protein. You PT 6 days a week, alternating for strength one day to running the next. After Basic Training your diet is pretty much up to you. You can eat at the chow hall for a moderate price and eat high protein meals that the next cycle of recruits have the pleasure of consuming or you could go to McDonalds, the choices are yours. You do have to pass a physical fitness text every year though.
