I had phases when i was younger starting at about 18 - couple of years on, get a bit of size... go out pulling women.. take a year off... lol

This time around though, i started back (very badly i might add) in 2004.... so 4 years but only 2 of those i would probably class as 'proper' training

I've been going to the gym for probably 2+ years, I went thru phases throughout my teens when I used to train but I don't count them really as I had absolutely no clue what I was doing. I have however been into swimming for large portions of my life, my mom used to wake me up to go swimming before school - ouch, I don't miss those days and hated them at the time but I think those days gave me a reasonable base and meant I always had relatively good chest and shoulder strength - thanks Mom!

I started when i was about 18, back then i didn't know what i was doing it and didnt have a good routine or diet. So really i have been doing it for about a year seriously which is when the majority of the gains have been made.

First stepped foot in the gym at age 15. Studied BodyBuilding for a couple of yrs. Joined the Army at age 18 , PT'd all the way through for 4 yrs. Took a couple of yrs. off stayed in pretty good shape but lost most sized. Got a broken Shoulder, started lifting as part of REHAB and loved it for a couple of yrs.. Switched to studying PowerLifting . Took three yrs. off for Family, lost all gains but my arm still works. I'm 33 yrs. old. So altogether 18 yrs. but only started to realize what I was doing for two or three of them. Have had great lifting partner's w/ lots of experience . Kinda combining Bodybuilding and Powerlifting when I return SOON.
