Default Hanging leg lifts

I've recently added hanging leg lifts to my workout after spending the last 12 months doing swiss ball crunches (hands to feet, feet to hands) with great effect. The thing that bugs me about abs is the amount of reps thats sometimes required to acheive a good workout so i've incorporated the toughest exercises i could find to really build those 'cobbles' up.

I was wondering if any of you guys had given these a try.If not what do you all prefer to do and why?

Talking Re: Hanging leg lifts

My fav is crunches on a hyper bench with a bar behind my shoulders, isolates them big time, really gets the lower section - frys mine every time!

I've used em they seem ok. The only problem I have with abs in general is everybody claims to have the quick and easy solution ( 5 Min abs ) and stuff like that. Being prior military I pretty much stick with crunches and side crunches for my obliques but I have also been blessed with a good mid-section. The only sit-ups I do lately is to get my a*s outta bed to go to work but I still have a pretty nice six pack. One exercise I learned about 16yrs ago are hanging upside down sit-ups with gravity boots on. I used someone on that exercise to keep me from rocking back and forth like a pendulum. I do use other exercises when I care about my abs but from your your avatar pic I think you got the bases covered.

Where do you get those gravity boots from?

Sorry missed that link.

I get the impression it would be a bad idea to do those on your own!
You could be stuck there for days!!

Another exercise you could try are sit-ups on a decline bench while using a 45lb plate across your chest (for added resistense) with your arms criss-crossed to hold plate.

One place to look for gravity boot E-bay . Looks like you could get started for about $50.00 USD .

It's not a pretty site when you get stuck.Been there done that. You could always attach a rope from whatever your hanging from to pull yourself back up.

Yea used one along time ago, if I recall it hit well in the upper mid-section. Might be good for a change up.
