Default wrapping your knees

whats everybodys opinion on using knee wraps when training legs.
i have always used the support type that pull over your knees but as i get older my knees are a bit painfull at times .
so i was thinking of using full wraps that you put on each time you squat but im not sure if they will affect the effectivness of the exercise.

I think Chris Jenkins was of the opinion to only use them for 1rm work - He did a post on it about 6-9 months ago.

I don't use them, but was thinking about using the neoprene sleeve types - mainly just to keep them warm.

i use them for the last set, the heavyest. i believe you need to go naked (err, you know wot i mean haha.. ) 1st couple of sets to help strengthen the knee ligaments etc.

I agree with IronClad, you should always do your warm ups without any support and ideally only use supports or wraps for super heavy work.

If you do use supports please do not use neoprene, neoprene is only good for wetsuits!!! If you need wraps or supports check out the range at Inzer Designs.

I like using knee wraps, to answer your original Q, gives me confidence to go that little bit more. Same goes for the belt too. Don't be embarresed to use either fella, whatever your max is. If you're doing 3 set of 10 use both at the last 10. (before long that last set will be your 1st, yeh)
Neoprine is for the bedroom too CMinOZ hehe

good luck

hey hey FB-
you tried a decent glucosamine product?
long as youre warmed up thouraghly and theyre not aching thru skipping anything-
use them if you need them.
you could also try a a more partial ROM/exercise-foot placement...

you back in contest shape yet then bud?
