Default king of the gym

as we're all from different parts of the country, and train in different gyms, i just wondered who is 'king of the gym' where you train. ( a phrase that the guy who owned the gym i trained at years ago coined to mean the top dog ). be it either he's the best competitive bodybuilder that trains in the gym, or he's just the strongest guy in the gym or maybe just the hardest training guy in there. are any musclechat members king of their gym ? if not, what kinds of hardcore training have you seen the top guy in your place do ?

ok, i'll start. in our gaff, 'king' would have to be Rach as she's the most sucessful competitor. strongest, ahem.., and craziest trainers would be big bri and chris who do lunatic triple drop sets, giant sets, pauses anything chris can think of to make bri sick on leg day. and bri happily does it. nutters the pair of 'em, but it's great to watch.

well im not the king of my gym by any means, but im seen a somewhat serious trainer.

There are quite large guys in my gym, but ive noticed some of these "large" guys slack on certain exercises, for e.g. theyll do way more then myself on bench etc... but when it comes to doing exercises such as that or deadlift it is not to be seen. And when they do actually squat they dont touch me on the amount of weight/nor reps even though they have more mass and tend to be shorter.

Ive not found one all round gym person, instead different people are "kings" in their own areas.

Strentgh, intensity & competetive success wise it would be me.

However, as Boss man Paul Jeffries is the Chairman, and also VC for NABBA, I pale by comparison!

Oh, well. I'm the King of my bathroom, if that counts!

I used to always get a few people watching when I was squatting on the Smith earlier on the year (got upto almost 200kg) at the gym near where I live (no one else squats) and a few people comment when I deadlift (no one else deadlifts...) but I think thats more an indication of the people in the gym rather than a reflection on me.

At said same gym theres a new guy joined who I'm guessing is some kind of BB'er who's fairly large but doesn't seem to due hugely heavy weights, but I've noticed that alot of people do watch the exercises he does and then tend to copy.

However - I guess the 'king' of that gym would be the guy who mainly does body weight work - like hand stand pressups.

I think I need to change gyms...
