| Banned Making Progress | im just wondering what % of bodyfat you need for your abs to show through..i do have a 10 pack but doesn't really show that much,, i reckon my bodyfat is around 12-13 %,, if u look at my photo's you can see what i mean,,,thanks{ my photos are in the picture section} |

| Legend Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Near Chesterfield Posts: 723 Rep Power: ![]() | Really depends what you mean by show through - if you want to be able to tense you abs and see all of them I'd say something around 10% - thats what is indicated on my BF monitor anyway at that point, if you want to be able to see them when relaxed very clearly I'd estimate around 7%. Easier if you carry more muscle around your abs, as they show through better, although tends to make it look like you have a belly when not 100% in shape. I never had clear abs when I was 10 1/2 stone although I was lean, pretty easy to get them through now at a good bit heavier... |

| Banned Making Progress | mine do show through when tensed,,im trying to get them to show just natually,so i would like know how much cardio i should be doing to achieve a 7% bodyfat...i dont mind doing cardio 5 times a week,,if i do this 5 times a week will i loose much muscle that i have gained in 20 months,,,cheers |

| Legend Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Near Chesterfield Posts: 723 Rep Power: ![]() | 45 mins low intensity cardio first thing should do it, (I walk at approx 3.5 mph) along with a good diet, to take a look at my pre contest diet - you'll only need the initial one, to give you an idea its in my journal , any questions ask away. |
