Default Dual factor training-ish (I think)

Here is my new training routine, please feel free to criticise:

Day 1.

Three sets of deads around the ten rep mark. Lifting progresively heavier each time,
5 sets of militairy presses,
5 sets of seated lat pull downs (to the chest),

Day 2.

45 min slow jog.

Day 3.

45 min slow jog or boxing.

Day 4.

5 x 5 deep squats, lifting progressively heavier each time,
3 sets flat bench press,
3 sets incline bench press,
3 sets dips,

Day 5.

Boxing,
5 sets bicep curls,
Crunches.

Weekends off. My diet is as good as my job will allow me at the moment, drinking rarely, occasional joint.

Sound maybe chuck in some cave raises along the way.

Steve XXX

oooh I love raising caves - gives you a right sweat on

Looks good mate.

I'd do all back work before the mili presses, and personally I'd do either wide grip chins (if you can do em! I cant so do close grip ones) or heavy rows instead of lat pull downs.

The usual caution about deep squats - careful not to put too much strain on your knees.

I'd be tempted to do Incline Bench and Close Grip Incline Bench instead of flat and incline...

If you moved your biceps to your back day, and your crunches to either your back day or your squats day you could save yourself a bit of time and give you a bit more recovery time.

....My preference is lat pull downs, but I change my exersices regulary (every 6 -8 weeks), so sometimes do chins. Why heavy rows instead?

I'd be tempted to do Incline Bench and Close Grip Incline Bench instead of flat and incline...

....I know some people train this way (cal) but I do like my flats, although have been toying with the idea of leaving them out.

.....I cannot stand doing biceps on back day, and it is'nt a good idea to do them the day after, so thought I would do them the day after benching. I actually dont see how I would have the time to incorporate more exercises into the workout anyhow, I wouldn't have the time. I dont know if altering my work out to this new routine will cause improvements, but time neccesitates.

Hi mate.

Biceps - cool if you dont like doing them on back days, dont do them It was more a note on Friday seemed to be light on the weights front, and I thought if you were doing boxing that day you could shift them to another day.

Heavy Bent Over Rows are a great mass builder, and hits alot of other muscles.

Lol - yes it was cal who got me onto the Close Grip Inclines - and as a result I moved quite quickly from having to do assisted dips, to dipping my own bodyweight to now looking to dip with a weight belt, as well as building my chest up.

As ever - its what ever works

I have always done bentover/seated/t-bar rows to good effect. I've left them out all together here though, thinking deads may suffice. Dunno what peoples thoughts are here. Chuck em back in?
