What are you aiming for- Size or Toned? your 2 workouts are too varied for my liking!! so do like Chest - Arms on 1 day Shoulders Back on another and throw in Legs on one of them.. Abs on Both sessions!! Its difficult on 2 day splits...Im not 100% sure what is best!! 3-day split i reckon is the best.. Someone on here will give you a better idea Hopefully!! Good luck |

I like your routine, but i would change a couple of things. sat Squats bench press d/b incline press (i would personally drop that tho) shoulder press dips (far superior to skull crushers imo) wednesday Deadlifts wide grip chins some kinda row (bent over row, cable row etc) bicep curls abs IMO you have got the right idea mate! concentrate on compound movements, especially squats, deads and bench press. Make adding weight to the bar on those exercises mainly each week your main concern and you wont go far wrong!! Its all about progression, poundage progression! a small amount of weight on the bar each week soon adds up! I think training twice a week is ideal as i read in another thread you have a very physical job. Training more and you could just run yaself into the ground. Just my 2 pence as they say ______________________ Opinions are like as*holes.......Everybody has one | |

| Illuminati | yup-what he said. twice a week training is very effective. i`d also say dont try to gain on a 3 day split if ya cant gain on a 2 day one ______________________ einsteins mind was the key to all things...to understand more than to know. www.englishmuscle.co.uk www.extremenutrition.co.uk |

| Under Construction Join Date: Jul 2005 Posts: 45 Rep Power: ![]() | thanks for your help! i was thinking of changing my work out to: SAT squat incline press dips shoulder press the reason for inclines is that ive been doing flat bench presses since i started and as a result have no upper chest and poor front delts so i thought inclines and dips would help build upper chest and cover lower chest and also triceps.(do you think this enough for triceps?) was going to do this workout till the weights stop going up then switch it around but include flat bench press. |
