Default The path to start....

I have begun, got my nutrition sorted, 5ft 10, 7 stone 7 pounds,

Going to 3,500 calories a day tommorow... I have sorted my nutrition so no worries there. Now to begin the workout,

I have read its best to help the body grow as a uniform mass... so I am doing Lat pull down, Bench press and Squats to start..

Is this really the best start?
I would go all out but realise as Im sooo skinny its best to give the whole body a shock and grow.

How did you all start ?

Forget lat pull down, go for deadlifts...

Squat Deadlift Bench

Also, 3500 calories is probably unsustainable for your weight, 2750 is a more realistic and ideal target for you.

Bump up 250 every 4 weeks.

Nick

good basic training routine here-
http://www.musclechat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2071

bump what nick said-
tbh even 2750 may be too much-
i seem to have done the food needed calculation before for myself and it came out at that.
i think that was when i was around 10 stone.
you will put on some fat,but you dont want to put on too much-
maybe 2000cals maybe a better starting point-
trust me mate force feeding yourself if youre a skinny dude is not easy and can become much harder than the training itself.

productive training will help increase your appetite tho.(overtraining will not)
once your stomach has adapted to the calories nicks right - add 250cals when ever you can than.

good luck dude

OMG Its half way through the day and I already eaten 2000 calories before my workout.

Guess I will tone it down a bit, its pretty hard eating every 2 hours, however I do feel alot more active and willing to work out

Freeezer as long as you are making the calories (clean calories...) then don't worry about strictly sticking to 2 hour intervals, especially as you have an obviuosly fast metabolism.

Get that food down ya and consider drinking a weight gainer or MRP to ease the process.
