moisturise regularly... it helps the skin expand...

bio-oil you can get from chemist.. is supposed to help!

has anyone tried bio-oil ? a girl i know swears it works.
stretch marks are caused by breakages in collagen, which gives the skin elasticity. once you've got em, you've got em. unless this stuff really works.

What do people think about collagen type 2 supplementation?

Same logic that says drinking protein shakes and not lifting will give you muscle; add the poor bioavailability and its not really worth it IMO.

bio-oil is quite good but once you have them you have got them for good, when they first appear they will be dark but should fade in time and be less noticible try mosturising this should help reduce the amount you get, vitamin e cream also helps.

most guys i know see stretch marks and like em cos it means there growing.

Thumbs up Re: strech marks

I thought I post this reply in all appropriate threds in case it can help, and of course stop you spending money on expensive creams that don't work.

Here goes. Let me know what you think.

Ok Guys. Mind if a Girl butts in? I used to be an extreme fatty and have stretch marks everywhere from the age of 14, I am now 38!. Then when I got pregnant I knew I was in trouble as I wanted to compete again and I didn't want to get any more. Well I can honestly highly recommend BIO-OIL. It comes in 75ml and 125ml and you can get it in boots for £8.95 and £14.95 respectively. However I know a seller in eBay I get mine from and I get 3 x 125mls for £29 which is steel.

Anyway; I have throughout my pregnancy used this BIO OIL a few drops over each breast (sorry) and about 8 drops (and I mean drops) over my tummy and hip area. Which are the areas prone to stretch marks while carrying a baby. I have done this religiously for the last 5 months. I am now full tem and expect to deliver within the next week or 2 at the most.

Much to my surprise is this: The stretch marks I have on my breasts from being a heffer have more or less disappeared!! Yep I know. I can't believe it either. My tummy which is Huge (I think) has NONE. And I really mean that. Pictures available on request but it’s not pretty. So I can honestly vouch for this Bio-Oil. I would never use anything else. Because of the drastic improvement on my chest I intend to start putting Bio Oil on all my other stretch marks from my teenage years and see what happens. I’m quite excited. As a Woman I have been so embarrassed and ashamed of them all my life and now it seems there is a cheap option that works.

These were my rules: Drinks lots of water. After your bath or shower: within 3 MINUTES apply BIO-OIL to your most vulnerable area. Spend 3 minutes rubbing in properly. Do this at least 2 x Daily but always after every Bath/Shower when the pores are open/dilated. After this time frame it will not be absorbed as well.

I hope this helps. I spent years trying everything you can imagine. Some ridiculously expensive and they didn’t work. This is cheap, effective and it lasts so long for what seems like a little bottle you will be very surprised.

Hey; I should be a rep for Bio-Oil.

Good luck
