It's supposed to create a personalised training programme based on one's own personal statistics. See here, http://www.x-size.com/xsize.htm I started training 7 weeks ago, and just like everyone else, I want the quickest and best natural gains possible for my genetic disposition. Ultimately, I understand that everyone's different, and since I'm unable to afford a personal trainer, I'm looking for advice on the best routine for me. If the 'X-Size' software is just another gimmick, maybe someone here can suggest a routine for me to try? Or, is it best to just make up my own by way of trial and error? I am average build for height and have an average metabolism. I have adjusted my diet (meal frequency and protein content) in accordance with suggestions on this forum, yet in the past 7 weeks since I began my training, I have only seemed to tone up rather than bulk. My stats: 31 y/o 6'5 210lbs (unchanged since starting training) My current routine is based on a recommended suggestion made by Garry on this forum (http://www.musclechat.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=1983). However, I have been trying to work each muscle no more than twice a week so as to avoid over-training. I train on the machines rather than free-weights, because my gym is always too busy no matter when I go, and I don't want to hold up the big boys by not knowing what I'm doing and what amount of weights to use etc. Maybe I'm just being impatient and should continue as I am. Having a longer frame probably makes it harder to bulk than a man of average height? Thanks for reading. Brin |
