Default Help! Elbow Pain!

My elbow is killing me! It started hurting about 2 weeks ago. I took a week of from physical activities and training. Yesterday I went back to the gym for my chest and tri workout and I had to almost stop in the middle of it because my elbow was hurting so bad. What can I do to get it better and what may have caused this to happen? I can't afford to take even MORE time off training.

This is depressing.

Thanks.

initially keep on training BUT keep it very light and strict with high reps... make sure all the weight is going through your muscle and not the joint!!

choose exercises that dont hurt it!!!

first thing tho is get an appontment with a good reputable physio or sports therapist... let them diagnose teh actual problem for you so you can find out how to correct it...

dont bother seeing your GP it will be a waste of time!

yeah had problems with my tendons last year, about a week after a cycle i started with a slight pain which after a few weeks training became an unbearable acute pain. as lee said forget your gp he will say rest, get to a physio.

but its probally the best thing that ever happened to me (apart from divorce) i had to train light and learnt to really squeze the muscle and concentrate on form and not on how much i could bench!

Ok thanks for the advice. I will check into a physio soon. I had a shoulder/trap work-out yesterday and the pain wasn't near as bad as it was on chest/tricep day. Def will get it looked at though.

Yeah gp's complete waste of time. I had to get diagnosis from another bodybuilder before.

NHS what a waste of my hard earned blood sweat and teared money!
