| Under Construction | I bodybuild as well as play a lot of volleyball. My question is: Is is bad to play volleyball after a weight training session? I was wondering if it hurt recovery of my muscles and hinders my growth? I weight train every other day, but I play volleyball everyday. If this is hurting my muscle growth and recovery I will stop playing volleyball so much. |

So, if your aim is to build muscle then you're either going to have to eat a lot more or cut down on the volleyball. The volley ball will hinder your growth somewhat because your using up those valuable calories needed to build/repair muscles on cardio. It depends on what type of physique you want. Tells us what your aims are with regards to the bodybuilding i.e do you want to be BIG or just want to fill out a little and look good. Doing volleyball after weights is not bad in it's self. Just depends on your goals. |

You will produce lots of cortisol whilst training, so make sure you get in a protein and carb drink straight after weights before volleyball to try and minimise catabolism ______________________ - Obsession is what lazy people call dedication - |
