| Making Progress Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Manchester Posts: 429 Rep Power: ![]() | Afternon all, Quite happy with my progress at the mo everywhere apart from my biceps and hamstrings! i think early on i struggled to train my biceps with the intensity i did with chest, shoulders and tris pressing movments seem a lot more natural to me and i find it easier to push myself. current biceps workout.. straight bb curl x3 hammer db curl x 3 concentration curl x 3 hamstring.. seated curls x 3 straight leg dead lift x 3 Anybody else struggle like this and if so how did you resolve it? | Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Bristol Posts: 3,232 Rep Power: ![]() | Perhaps you need to make sure that you are doing the full ROM (range of movement) for your bicep workouts.... do you come all the way down to lock and then all the way up? Perhaps concentrate on really squeezing slowly on the negative part of the rep, really force that blood in there. If this is difficult, then drop the weight. Also, don't cheat by using your back. | Making Progress Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: Manchester Posts: 429 Rep Power: ![]() | hamstrings i stretch between every set and biceps i don't quite go to lock out, i have dropped the weights and concentrated more on form and really sqeezing the muscle and i am seeing some improvment. the size and strengh incresae in my hamstrings and biceps is not in proportion with the rest of my gains. used to train biceps after chest but over the last few weeks i have moved them to back day and im not lifting as much but they feel full and pumped at the end of the sesion. |
