Before anyone says it - yes I know you can't do both in the same workout. However what if I did alternative days? Say monday, wednesday and friday building muscle, and tuesday and thursdays doing cardio? Would that work? |

It would be nice to do as you suggested, doing cutting and building on alternate days but the growing process continues for days after a workout and relies on a taking in excess calories. So, you'd have to switch your diet every day to accommodate your goals thereby dramatically reducing your muscle gains. I feel that you would probably end up staying at the same weight, though probably a bit fitter. Check out a good example of a bulking diet & routine. Stick with it untill you're either at your desired weigh or your BF gets too high (over 20%) THEN switch to a cutting routine and diet. Hope this helps. |
