Default Over Training?

Hi guys....as i explained yesterday in my introduction,i have time on my hands due no work commitments.I fully intend to throw myself into training also keep a good diet which i have not done over the years,it's really down to a lack of knowledge and after reading through the archives here over the last day or two i have realised how ignorant i have been anyway the question is,would training six times a week be overtraining something like:-mon:-chest ,calves.tues:-biceps,abs.weds:-shoulders,delts
thurs:-triceps.traps.fri:-back,abs,sat:-quads.hamstrings...my sessions will be 45-60 mins...in your opinions wil that be overtraining or not,i will be doing this if opinions are positive for two months naturally and then looking into doing a cycle.

unless you're very experienced and on a cycle, I'd say that would be overtraining.
Personally, I'd stick with max 4 days, something like
Mon-chest and triceps
Wed- Back and biceps
Fri- shoulders & abs
Sat- legs

with plenty of time on your hands it's tempting to train as much as possible but make sure your diet is up to scratch and get plenty of rest.
I'd also stick with this for longer than a couple of months before doing a cycle. get 2 years solid training under your belt first.

Fair enough. You're in the right place, there are plenty of knowledgeable guys here that will give you no-bull advice. The steroid section has plenty of advice for people going for their first cycle.

I don't think you should consider an AAS cycle after 2 months of research which is a conclusion I'm sure you will come to yourself once you have finished researching.

That said read the Steroid sticky in the AAS section and go from there.

Try and get a split routine that does not involve your entire legs in one day.

They are (at least) half your body and therefore are too much to train all at once.

I wouldnt do the Saturday session, bordering on overtraining.

As the triceps are a relatively small part they wouldn't need a full 1hr session. Doubt that they would grow that way.

If as you say youre too knackered to do Tris straight after your chest workout try this.

Mon AM Back

Tue AM Chest . PM Abs & some Cardio

Wed OFF

Thu AM Legs. PM Triceps & Biceps

Fri AM Shoulders inc. traps.

If you really want to train on the Saturday then I really only recommend some light work, stretchin a bit of cardio.

Don't over do the cardio though you don't want to waste all those calories from you food.

Try and lift heavy max 4 sets per exercise, max 4 different exercises for each body part. For smaller parts like tris, calves, biceps etc stick to 3 different exercises per body part.
Reps try and see what works best for you.
Although most would stick around the 5-12reps range, legs could even be up to and over 20reps

what works well for one person might not work so well for another, a bit of trial and error, but whatever routine you decide to go with, stick with it for at least 6-8 weeks before changing.

hope this helps.

i like the look of that chalk,i know that really the best way is say back+ bi's,chest+tri's etc,but i find it hard not going to the gym everyday but equally i find it hard to workout for more than 30-40mins.

you could also do the calves on the Tuesday PM with the Abs, it would take some of the work load off Thursdays. As Kriptikchicken says, the legs are half your body.
