I don't have the experience you guys have, but during spring break the gym is closed on campus, and I had been working out from dec to mid march, and then the gym was closed a week. I was definitely anxious to get back in the gym and I sure felt refreshed from that week off.

I will start doing this soon. I am gonna finish the cycle im on, train natural for 3 or 4 weeks, then have a week off.

I know this works as a year ago, my training partner at the time went on holiday for a week. I kept training thinking "Yeah, I'm gonna be stronger than him now". Well, after that nice long rest he had, he came back and battered his AND my records!

Im all for a little R&R

I have 4 consecutive days off every 10 weeks. I see no need in two weeks unless you have been pushing your body to its potential ie dieting for a show.

If your routine incorporates enough rest your system shouldn't be too taxed and shouldn't accumulate over time. Particularly with your style of training. I've been injured 3 times and think I have overtrained slightly around 6 months ago but certainly don't feel I do anymore. In the last 2 years I have put on 40 pounds and dropped 2% bodyfat. I must be doing something right. Garnted I reckon about 18 of those pounds are anabolic assisted but still I'll settle for the niggling injuries if thats what I accomplish.

I have 1 week off every 3 months, thats on top of my routine which consists of Saturday workout, Sunday workout, Monday workout, Tuesday workout, Wednesday off, Thursday workout, Friday off.

Everyone has their routines this one suites me fine.
