Default Need a little help with my chest development

Hi all

My chest is coming on quite well.. But ive started to notice that the top of the pectorals and the middle line where they meet is developing nicely..

but the lower of the pectorals seems to be taking its time

are there any specific excercises or technique changes I can use to focus more on the lower width sections?

cheers

Dave

What do you do for chest?

(btw, it doesn't really matter, I'm going to say that chest dips are what you need)

Weighted dips are what you're after. I would change your chest routine to the following:

Flat DB Bench Press
Incline DB Flyes
Weighted Dips

If you dont have access to a dipping station, then do Decline DB Bench Press instead.

After only reading "but the lower of the pectorals seems to be taking its time "
it was extremely obvious that you dont do flat benchpress.
As you said you cant bench press, so obviously this is the problem. For a more developed lower chest flat benchpress is the best exercise you can do.

That is complete rubbish. Maximal lower chest activation comes from a range of motion below perpendicular to the body - i.e. decline press, dips, and crossovers (with correct angle).

If you're going to conjecture and give bad advice as if it was fact, you should take a break from posting - just avoid the Submit button.
