My first choice is always normal squats, but i still do front squats every now and then. I think im the only one in the gym that does them and only know a few other guys that use it. Cant go as heavy with the bar on the front but i feel it puts a very good focus on my quads, without bringing my hams/glutes in. Just wondering if anyone else uses the exercise or am i just old skool?? ______________________ www.pronaturalmuscle.com |

I do agree in general that the main work (or the main DOMS) from squats seems to hit my hamstrings/glutes - I am intending to use front squats more extensively in future. |

Also it proves as a good incentive to build your upper chest as you are balancing the barbell there. Great exercise! |
