Its around normal for bench to be around 60-70% of what you squat. Obviously thats not a set rule, but you certainly should be able to squat more than you bench.

A rough guide is: if you can bench 100Kg, you should be able to Squat ~140Kg and Deadlift ~180Kg.

I squat alot more then bench. Maybe work on your legs. Or you have rediculously strong arms.

Think that figure for deadlift estimation might be a bit high , from what i have observed anyway of other people who can bench 100kg,

id agree with around 160kg but who knows.

i think thats because most people do the bench press when they start out but not deadlift, if we had started doing deadlift all those years ago paul yours would probably be in the 200s.

Im not so certain about that. I think as long as you train every single body part correctly from the start your deadlift will be near to where it should be as soon as you start doing them. Although it may not seem like it, any bodypart you neglect from the start (even if only for a few months) will leave you at a disadvantage later on.

When I started training I trained every body part equally despite not doing squats/deadlifts/bench. I then gradually introduced the major compounds after a few months and although initially (the first few weeks or so) they were low, they did actually end up right where they should be.

I think the problem most people have is that very few actually train every body part equally from the start. This is especially the case with legs. I myself was rather lucky as I had my training partner with good knowledge to steer me in the right direction, but most people dont have this and will train unevenly until they realise something isnt right (or even then, continue as before).

Unfortunately the number of people who train everything equally in my gym is absolutely none. No-one deadlifts, no-one squats, everyone trains chest, shoulders, biceps and a few train back/triceps. Legs are virtually unheard of and sadly it shows. Ive seen large guys who can bench double what I can but cant deadlift and squat what I can, its such a shame as they would pull some impressive numbers if only they trained EVERY bodypart evenly.

Everyones different some started squats in the begining some didnt do them till later. Some can bench and/or squat more than others regardless if they started in the begining or later. Or if they have been training 5 or ten years but if you started squats in the beginging with bench then you should be able to squat more than you can bench - if you have been training them equaly because your quads are a much larger muscle group than your chest. If you started bench in the begining and have just started to squat great your squat will catch up and over take your bench only if you train them equaly now.
