Default Rep range

What Rep range does everybody generally work between. Some of the pro's do some very high rep sets so I was wondering if more 12 - 15 sets might be the way to go. Anyways usually 8 - 12 for me.

Obviously most people will do many of the above for each workout but just generally which do you use most.

I'm currently following the following pattern:

1 x 15 reps (warmup)
1 x 10 reps (warmup)
1 x 3-6 reps (strength, to failure)
2 x 60 secs TUT (time, not reps based)

i would say i do a mixture, but on the whole 3 - 5 atm training for strength

Some exercises all the way up to 10 reps tho !

And your right tom, in Ronnie's new DVD he says that he doesn't ever go below 12 reps ! crazy

8-12 for me.

When mass building I use a pyramid routine, 12, 10, 8, 8, increasing the weight each set. For Strength I tend to go slightly lower.

I like the 6 to 10 range feels heavy enough to be difficult and take all the effort but light enough to get the burning too.

Marcus Ruhl is the same. If anyone hasn't seen his "made in germany" dvd, he often does 20+ reps and I dont think he goes below 12

He picks a weight which he can do maybe 6 of and DOES 12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a while I was doing higher reps 12-15 or sometimes 20-25 and I've just gone back to 6-8. I may go back to higher reps though. Higher reps did nothing for my overall strength but definately increased size.

Markus is an awesome guy. Seriously the most freaky looking BBer out there, and probably the strongest in terms of shoulder work.
