I like one on one off for a few reasons.

1. gives the body as a whoe a day to sort itself out
2. mental break, i dont want to have to trek to the gym everyday, im too busy for one
3. its well known that recovery is one of the main areas to get right. I think a day off after every workout is the way to go.

If you beast it for too long, its a matter of time before you begin to overtrain i reackon. That said, with the gear you may be able to recover fast enough, but personnaly i would rather not run the risk!

How do you split your workouts? cause i count ...

1 chest
2 back
3 shoulders
4 tris
5 bis
6 legs
7 abs (for some)

How do you group these?

I would say 5 on 2. Tough out all the pain in one big stint instead of annoying short ones. And if you work etc... might not be best conveniant if its 1 on 1 off. But with a 5 you know well in advance what days you could be training when making plans etc...

You could easliy shorten that split

Suggestion:

Legs -wed
Chest/bi - fri(work tricep in bench press thats why I have found it preferable to switch from tricep)
Back/tri - sat
Traps/Shoulders - sun

recovery is fecking ace mate!

I had good results using a three day routine, not many work sets either.

I think most natural (probably many on roids too) do far too many sets and overtrain.

I do 9 work sets for back, chest and shoulders, only 4 for triceps and biceps.

Do about 9 for legs.

Remember, less is more sometimes in bodybuilding!

Take it easy
