pretty decent all though i think you're probably over training your biceps.

Also shrugs are for traps so i would do them on the back day

its taken me 4 ish years to get my back to be able to cope with squats and deads-(at any weight)they are essential for growth-stick to compound exercises - dont worry about hitting the muscles from all angles-just make sure your adding a little extra weight to the bar each week-isolation exercises are a waste of time

Actually you may want to drop one of your other bi exercises as hammers hit the long head much better than most others. (last months muscle and fitness full article)

I agree Brawn is a good book but isolation exercises really do have a purpose and are very beneficial you should read some other material. I think whilst one should take from that book that yes compound movements are essential and imperitive to training, isolation exercises shouldn't be ignored based on one mans genetic disposition to benefit from a particular way of training. Not everyone trains like Mike Mentzer either

fair point mate-wow someone else has read brawn-i do read other stuff(any suggestions welcome),but i do think brawn cuts thru all the bullshit and puts progression as the key to growth-something that i had forgotten or maybe never realised-its my bible(-well it works for me)

hey if it works for you stick to it. There are various ways of training that work dependant on ones genetics. Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman don't train the same way. I like the principles of the book however its principally aimed at people who don't use drugs of which I can't realistically include myself ops:

I find magazines Flex and muscle and Fitness to be interesting to read every month although the amount of advertising can become a little repetitive. I find reading whole books to become somewhat tedious because most repeat large section of the others. A bizarre choice I have found recently quite motivational was Making the game. A WWF wrestlers supposesed guide to training. Whilst I used to follow the sport as a kid (I find alot of my bodybuilder friends did - It was basically admiring guys for their strength and physique) I don't anymore although I still think the guy is tremendously impressive. Whilst the training advice was minimal, basic and crap thier was a section on his recovery from a quadricep tear which motivationally was awesome.
