why do you warm up with 40 reps? that is crazy!

I stick to 8 reps for my warm up even though i could do more.

do less sets per workout but train each bodypart twice a week instead of once. as for warm ups on bench i do very light for 20 reps to get the joints lubed up then a moderate weight for 15.
