Default warm up sets???

how many of you do warm up set for each exercise? I always have but am wondering if warm up set for just the first exercise and not for the subsequent 3 or 4 would be enough...any thoughts?

I only do 1 or 2 warm up sets at 15-20 reps for the first exercise. No need to bother with the subsequent exercises.

Only really need to get the muscle group you are working warmed, pumped and ready for the workout. Otherwise you are just wasting fuel, pre-exhausting the muscle too much

Im bulking and i want to shed as little calories as possible so my warm up is satisfactory at best to conserve energy.

I go on the rower for just 2 mins to get me warmed up a bit, then i do quite a bit of stretching, then ill do 12 slow, good form but very light reps and thats it, On come the heavy weights.
Between sets i generaly strech as a habbit now.

On a stretching note, there was an article on deep fascia stretching.

Performed at the end of your routine on the bodypart worked.

It involves severe stretching while the muscle is pumped to mimic "muscle memory" and speed growth by stretching the muscle to allow space for new tissue to grow into (this is why muscle has memory, the old tissue is already strecthed and therefore has nothing to fight against)

I Will try and find the article

J

Jay when i say i also stretch a bit between sets its more just limbering up a bit while im waiting for my pal to finish his set as we alternate.
I personaly dont think this is a big deal if im honest and i think your picking at straws jay, but if xzjaras does find the article on stretching ill give it a read and pass a better judgement then.

my bad bro...i took that to mean actual STRETCHING, like pre or post-work out full stretch...i guess what i was referring to was that kind of stretching between sets...
