Default New poster; Oly lifting

Hi,

I may be a new poster here, but I have been really impressed with the responses, and helpfulness to my other posts so far!

If anyone is intersted I have a fair amount of experience in Oly Lifting and training etc... as I used to compete for GB/County.

I look forward to posting some intelligent q's, and maybe some helping others out!

I am really intersted now in getting into strongman, but I dread what the GF will say when she finds a tyre, kegs, log etc.. in the garden!

Thx!

Hi, nice to see another oly lifter.Dont want to give away too much, with my other posting, if you get me!!

R you actively competing now? In which weight class? Unfortunately I have had to move on, due to many years of back problems. I spent a great time training out in SA for a few years though.

I was training mainly in the midlands, or down at crystal palace, just getting my GB card and all the perks when I left uni.

Thx Vinger, dont think many of 'us' post, as theres too much time spent in the gym. I was lifting in the 85 kg class, but always struggled being top of the class, and the lighter guys pulling the same as me!!

My back injury was unrelated (hit by a car!), so I cant train with the same intensity, but I still rely heavily on the dynamic pulls, high pulls, hang work etc in my training.

Nick: you cant beat a bit of oly lifting for real size. Look at any pro and their back, especially trap development is HUGE!!

It is also GREAT fun too!
