For this reason I do not train my trps seperately and have pretty good traps. Nice heavy back workouts and nice controlled upright rows (either with a ez bar or dumbells) will be plenty enough in my opinion. I consider traps in the same bracket as forearms and neck muscles. Really I'd only consider training them seperately if I were olympia size and wanted to perfect them and were at a standard and size for my body to take the seperate training of these bodyparts.
