could anyone please tell me a good mass builder for shoulders...but...preferably no heavy pressing as it always seems to bring on lower back trouble for me..is there such an exercise? thanks

Seated presses are the best movement. If your lower back is giving you gip you're probably using too much weight and slipping on form. My shoulder routine is as follows:

Monday 3x4-6 reps of seated BB shoulder press

Thursday 3x10-12 reps of seated arnold presses

You could also ass 2 sets of side laterals on mon and 2 sets of rear laterals on thursday if you wanted. They arent needed at al though.

Yes, It sounds as if you are losing good form as said and this is usually too much weight.

If I am pressing really heavy dumbells then I use in incline at about 80-85% to the floor.

I also swear by upright dumbell rows for growth of the medial head of the delts, they also brought up my traps better than any shrugs (I no longer need to do shrugs as my traps are perfect )

Arnold presses use dumbells in a deated position the movement starts with either you palms facing behind you (or facing inwards towards each other) and as you press them above your head you twist the dumbells so your wrists face forwards.

Good movement.
