Well the obvious advice given is wrong as somebody can grow without doing squats.
Thats not what enoys me with stu its the fact every time he post to me he offers NO advice at all just stupidly quick sarcasim, critisism and he comes across that he knows everything.Every time i see hes posted to me i know its not going to help me at all, its just going to be a blunt obvious txt book article with a NEGATIVE vibe to it.

i did offer you some advice, quote "you won't grow fast if you don't train legs" i'm sorry i didnt sugar coat it for you

the funny thing is if i posted an article you would of said all i ever do is post blunt articles and dont give any advice

your problem is if someones advice conflicts with what you want to do then you take it as a personal attack. I couldn't give a **** if you train your legs or not but if someone training looks suspect i'm gonna call it how i see it.

(I hope this post didnt hurt you feelings too much)

nice to see an argument on here that doesnt involve me for a change, lol

its always been a widely held belief that you must train legs to get big but i have never found it to be true. i always trained legs but after a 3 yr break from training i started training at home instead of the gym and have only trained them rarely since, i know i know, but wait till youve been training 20yrs i just aint got the enthusiasm for it any more. any way when i stopped legs i was just under 16 stone and had 19" arms and i still grew to 18 stone and 20.25" afterwards, loads of guysdont do legs and still make good progress. yes its possible i may be slightly bigger if i trained legs still due to the stimulation gained from heavy squats but not alot.

this forum is for everyone who trains no matter how serious they take it, each to there own.

divie, you must have got some good gear cause your aggression is definately up lol. ;-)

divie, i know your feeling juiced up and prob want to do more to increase your gains so split if you feel its right i'd go for...

chest/shoulders/triceps

and back/biceps

hope you keep gaining

True you can make gains without working your legs, but i found that my best gains came when i started working them. I used to be one of the fools you see at the gym everyday all i did was bench, curl and the odd bit of back work. My gains were ok but nothing special.

Your legs are a one of the largest sets of muscles in the body, when you work them out alot of other muscles get hit as well. I honestly believe that working the legs is important for growth especailly if your going the nautural route. Each to there own i guess. If it works for you then keep doing it.

i shud have stated that i did train legs from 18 to 32 yrs so i think i put me time in on them, lol. and maybe that has contributed to my overall size.
