Yeah, it is muscular. It sounds exactly the same as I had. Just needed time and rest but it frightened the S*** out of me when I did it and went to hospital next day. Allways best to have an injury checked out though!

I wouldn't overly worry about it just yet. Even a mild muscle spasam can cause substantial pain if it inflames and presses on a sensory nerve. Can spook you a bit and can sometimes appear to be quite bad. The whole arm can go numb if not left but it is all reversible in time, all others things being equal. Believe or not a lot of people can go through their whole life with herniated ('slipped') disks and never even feel a thing.

I actually prefer an osteopath rather than a chiropractoras as in my experience, they also preform the spinal manipulation (although a different form of it) coupled with acupuncture, whereas most chiropractors just do the manipulation.

Cheers

John
(PS: i have a long history of spinal problems so have read a bit )

are you sure you got that the right way round cos i've been to 2 diffrent chiropractors and they did the spine cracking bit and no mention of acupuncture
