| Making Progress Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: somerset Posts: 436 Rep Power: ![]() | Is it worth me training my abs wile bulking and if i do gain say 3-4 stone in a year will it be difficult to shed the weight again when cutting up.Ill give you some background to myself.Im 6ft 2 and 5 months ago i was 10 half stone now im 12 half stone, weight gain has slowed down but im sure i can gain at least 1 more stone by xmas, but i want to be around the 15 stone mark in 4 years.Should i keep bulking solid for 4 years or is some cutting reccomended inbetween so i dont gain too much bodyfat.I think gary has never cut and he looks good, but i know someone whos huge and he looks shit coz he seems to have a lot of bodyfat.GARY what have you done to gain size, but still stay away from lard?. | Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: florida usa Posts: 642 Rep Power: ![]() | im thinking diet is the key here, quality protein and watch the simple carbs, try to keep them complex, not as much sugar and crap. if you have a good diet you can bulk for years without gaining too much fat and you can always cut when you need to. another idea is to do cardio 2 or 3 times a week. doesnt have to be too much, 30-45 minutes on a treadmill or elliptical (i do better on those as i have a bad knee and running long periods hurts) at a good pace should keep the bf in check. you just want to make sure that your gains are mostly good quality muscle. hope this helps. ______________________ that which does not kill me only serves to make me stronger. |
