Default Chest Expansion

I've been told that doing high rep (20-30) pull overs with a light weight ( ie <20kgs) whilst inhaling a big lungful of air on the downstroke and exhaling on the upward stroke can increase the depth of the chest significantly.

I've also been told that this is a crock of shit.

Any ideas?!

generally stuff like that is just a load of rubbish, any gains that might be possible would probably be so small they would be unmeasureable

i think its a similer principle to raidar chest pulls ( hold in to the top af a door with both hands fill your chest up with air and pull down streaching your thorax (i could be wrong with the thorax thing)

arnie swor by them and it makes me chest feel bigger after doing them for week or so but i havent done them continuesly for long enuff to see if they really work

are there any exercies recomended for chest expantion?

i think the thing with this exercise is that good form is very important and correct breathing to get the maximum out of it, also persisting with it as many dump this exercise when gains dont come quick

I'm sorry but this is a bullshit myth, you cannot expand your chest by forcing air into it, its not physically possible. Arnie used to swear by a lot of things but body building has become alot more scientific since the golden years.

Some people should concentrate less on the pros routines and spend more time training and eating.

arnold also said that he made his chest bigger by going further down on flyes and db presses...then again he also told a guy that the newest rage in the 70's was screaming when you posed, this got that guy ushered off stage! do what works for you.

The whole idea that you can expand your rib cage is nonsense. Even if it were true would you really want your organs flopping loosely in your chest cavity? LOL
