i think u are right 2 a degree in wot u say saj.

Ive heard things like "dont wear a belt wen u squat cos it stops u developing strength in your stomach".
Also heard as u say wearing the wraps can affect the tendons but generally im squating in pain neway. 2 not try n ease the pain with knee wraps just seems mental.
