The focus of my dissertation has changed slightly form the question i posted a few weeks ago. Im now focusing on the question - Should bodybuilding be considered deviant (mad)? As a bodybuilder myself, i dont agree with this notion. However some of the cases iv read about are prettymad! What does everyone else think of the question - should it be considered deviant? And what do you think about bodybuilders like Greg Valentino, steroid abuse, and Snthol? Thanks - Rich |

Personally, as a small kid I was always overeweight as other children, used to eat much more and didnt even care what I did eat... no wonder, I didnt know at that age! By age of 14/15 I joyned a Karate Club where I did get till the orange belt by age of 16/17... then I started going to a private bodybuilding club with 2 of my friends. The mean reason why I joined bodybuilding was to loose fat but time after time I realised that I really like it - Im not mad - but just felt much much better by every trainning I did, was a feeling like having major power. Basically I started B.B from age 17 and till now age of 22, where I had to stop trainning for a long time and beside this... I didnt have any1 to tell me what I should be doing, and how, and how many etc etc ... I was reading articels about bodybuilding and tryed to copy with that. Even now... I know the way how I should be training but i just need the proper motivation. Now me and my brother go traning, where we can motivate each other! |

Then when I was about 12 I saw Pumping Iron on TV and that was it got a set of weights that Xmas and used to lift on and off for years then I decided to take it seriously and really go for it and I've never looked back. |

| Making Progress | Hi all, it was magazines, with the likes of Nubret, Mentzer, Katz, Arnie, Robinson, Columbu, etc, that sparked an interest, also corny films like GEORDIE,and HERCULES IN NEW YORK, and THE INCREDIBLE HULK fascinated me, although i love the physical side of bodybuilding, i seem equally if not more at home with the theoretical side of the sport. Dave. |
