If you are totaly new to wieght training then for the first 2 weeks train using just your own body wieght such as press ups and bench dips, as this will help get your body prepared for the heavier training which will help you complete garys routine.I made the mistake of jumping in to a routine to qucikly and unprepared. You also need to get the diet right before embarking on wieght training. If you dont do both of the above you may experiance fatigue half way through the training session.I have had gains from my own rotine i made up working all muscle groups twice a week, but garys routine seems to be a well balanced routine that i recommend for prepared begineers. PS all exercises are only 3 sets, so train heavy. :wink |
